How long is the GTA 6 story?
On 29 October 2026 Insider Gaming published a full explainer on GTA 6’s length. The only official number comes from Rob Nelson, co-studio head at Rockstar. He told The New York Times that his playthrough in February took about 80 hours, including the main story and some optional goals that change the story.
Nelson said he hopes players will “get up, have a cup of coffee, shower, get dressed, go out for a little exercise” in the game, then “rob some places, make some money”.
