Most publishers moved their games away from GTA 6. Nintendo did not. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for Switch 2 launches worldwide on November 5, 2026, just two weeks before GTA 6 on November 19. Sites like Push Square, Notebookcheck and IMDb now call it the biggest game clash of 2026.
Is this real? Yes, reported by major outlets
Who said it: Nintendo (release date) and gaming press. Sources: Push Square, IMDb, Notebookcheck. Our view: Both release dates are official. Which game “wins” November is opinion. Checked: 28 Oct 2026.
Why Nintendo is not scared
- Different players: Zelda is on Switch 2 only. GTA 6 is on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only, so there is no direct platform fight.
- Different ratings: Zelda is for all ages, GTA 6 is for adults.
- Two weeks head start: Zelda gets its launch window before GTA 6 takes over.
