What ITV made

ITV and agency Block Report created a mock “quasi-legal” agreement that families, couples and flatmates can fill in. It lets a household set a weekly schedule for who gets the TV: GTA 6 or regular television.

ITV’s Tom Houser said the broadcaster wanted to “take a stand for Telly lovers” and called it a “not-at-all-legally-binding contract” to bring peace to British homes.

Is this real? Yes, confirmed by an official source

Who said it: ITV, in a campaign made with Block Report. Sources: LBB (Little Black Book). Our view: a real marketing campaign by ITV. It is a tongue-in-cheek, not legally binding contract, and it is not from Rockstar. Checked: 30 Oct 2026.

How big the GTA hype is

ITV’s campaign cites Tubular Labs data: from 8 July to 6 October 2026, GTA content drew more than 38.7 billion views worldwide.

PlatformViews (8 Jul – 6 Oct)
YouTube22.9 billion
TikTok8 billion
Instagram6.1 billion

It is the latest brand to join GTA 6 launch hype, alongside other real-world promotions.
