Take-Two boss Zelnick’s 8-part longevity routine

Short answer: Strauss Zelnick, the 69-year-old CEO of GTA 6 publisher Take-Two, told Business Insider his healthy-ageing formula is simple: don’t smoke, avoid drug and alcohol abuse, exercise, eat sensibly, sleep at least seven hours, have an emotional or spiritual life, stay close to people who love you and skip overhyped health hacks like peptides.

Zelnick’s 8 rules

  1. Don’t smoke.
  2. Don’t abuse alcohol or drugs, which he says lead to “a bad old age, or no old age”.
  3. Get some exercise. He does 6 a.m. group training himself, but says walking 30 minutes a day, four or five days a week gets most people most of the way there.
  4. Eat a “responsible” diet. He says his own diet is not “insanely healthy”.
  5. Sleep at least 7 hours. Under six hours, he says, “you’re making bad decisions”.
  6. Have some kind of emotional or spiritual life.
  7. Get support from people who love you.
  8. Skip overhyped health hacks. Asked about peptides, he said no, and that untested products should be avoided.

Is this real? Yes, confirmed by an official source

Who said it: Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, speaking to Business Insider. Sources: Business Insider. Our view: this is about Zelnick himself, not about the game. It shows how the man overseeing GTA 6’s launch runs his own routine. Checked: 30 Oct 2026.

Why it matters for GTA 6

Zelnick leads Take-Two, Rockstar’s parent company, through the launch of GTA 6 on 19 November 2026. He spoke at Business Insider’s “The Long Play” event. He also wrote a 2018 book called Becoming Ageless.

His comments here are personal and do not change anything about the game. For how he runs the company, see Zelnick on leading 13,000 staff before GTA 6.
