PS5 Nears 100 Million Sales as PS5 Pro Sells Out Before GTA 6

The numbers
NoobFeed reports Sony sold 2.6 million PS5 units last quarter, down from about 4 million a year earlier, while operating profit rose 82%. The PS5 is at 97.9 million units. Sony lifted its full-year profit forecast, and BeInCrypto puts the new net profit forecast at a record 1.33 trillion yen.
BeInCrypto (via Yahoo Finance) says Amazon, Best Buy, Target, GameStop and PlayStation Direct list the PS5 Pro as sold out at retail price, with resellers asking $1,399 to over $1,600. Sony raised prices on 2 April, and in Japan introduced a 60-hour play rule for PS5 Pro buyers to curb scalpers.
