HDR + Adjust HDRScreen and Video > Video OutputDetail in dark and bright scenes; use HGIG on the TV if it has it
3D AudioSound > 3D Audio (Headphones)Hear traffic and footsteps by direction

Is this real? Yes, reported by major outlets

Who said it: Engadget guide. Sources: Engadget, Sony PS5 settings menus. Our view: These are standard PS5 system settings, so they are safe to change now. Checked: 1 Nov 2026, 11:15 AM ET.

Quick tips

Plug the PS5 into an HDMI 2.1 input, since not every TV port supports 120Hz. Run HDR calibration in the lighting you actually play in. The PS5 has no direct Bluetooth audio, so wireless Bluetooth headphones need a USB adapter.

After launch, check GTA 6’s own graphics and sound menus too.
