Why is GTA 6 not on PS4 or Xbox One?
Rockstar built GTA 6 for current-generation consoles only. The PS4 and Xbox One are more than ten years old, and their hard drives and processors are much slower. Rockstar has never mentioned a last-gen version. If you have a PS4 or Xbox One, you will need a PS5 or an Xbox Series console to play.
Does GTA 6 work on Xbox Series S?
Yes. Series S is part of the official “Xbox Series X|S” platform, so it gets the game on the same day. Rockstar hasn’t shared resolution or frame-rate details for either console. The bigger issue is space: free up room using our pre-load checklist.
Is GTA 6 on PC or Steam?
Not yet. There is no Steam or Epic page and no PC date. Rockstar usually brings its games to PC later; GTA 5 took about 19 months and Red Dead Redemption 2 about a year. Anything claiming to be a GTA 6 PC download today is a scam. Read GTA 6 on PC and GTA 6 scams.
Is GTA 6 coming to Nintendo Switch 2?
Not announced. No Switch or Switch 2 version has been mentioned by Rockstar or Nintendo. Treat any rumour as unconfirmed.
Is GTA 6 better on PS5 Pro?
Rockstar hasn’t announced a PS5 Pro mode. The PS5 version runs on PS5 Pro. More in GTA 6 60fps and PS5 Pro.
