GTA 6 customization: clothes, hair, tattoos, body and cars

Short answer: You can change Jason and Lucia’s clothes, hair, facial hair, makeup, nails and tattoos, and their bodies change with eating, exercise and sleep. Rockstar says customization is not locked behind editions: Leonida has plenty of clothing shops and salons. The Ultimate Edition adds five extra shops.

What can you customize?

Clothes: outfits from shops around Leonida. Reported
Hair and grooming: haircuts, Jason’s facial hair, Lucia’s makeup and nails. Safehouse haircuts are limited, so the big changes happen at salons. Reported

Do you need the Ultimate Edition?

No. Rockstar says customization isn’t locked behind editions. The Ultimate Edition adds five extra single-player shops plus “Vice City Style” outfits and tattoos and “Goodtime Gear” clothing: Official

Can you customize cars?

Yes, Rideout Customs (Ultimate) handles interiors, rims and donk builds, and One-Eyed Willie’s does off-road mods. Rockstar hasn’t detailed the standard car-tuning shops yet. More in GTA 6 vehicles.

Can you create your own character?

Not in story mode: you play as Jason and Lucia. A character creator is expected for GTA 6’s online mode, but Rockstar hasn’t shown it. See GTA 6 Online release date.
