GTA 6 at 60 FPS on PS6?
Short answer: GameGPU argues GTA 6 will stay at 30 FPS on PS5 and PS5 Pro because of their Zen 2 CPUs, and that a future PlayStation 6 with a much faster CPU could run it at 60 FPS. This is an estimate, not a statement from Rockstar or Sony, and PS6 is not announced.

TelegramWhat GameGPU says
On 31 October 2026, GameGPU wrote that the lack of official 60 FPS support on PS5 Pro suggests GTA 6 will keep a 30 FPS target until next-generation hardware.
| Console | CPU | Expected GTA 6 frame rate |
|---|---|---|
| PS5 | Zen 2, 8 cores, 3.5 GHz | 30 FPS |
| PS5 Pro | Zen 2, 3.85 GHz | 30 FPS, sharper 4K and better ray tracing |
| PS6 (not announced) | Zen 6 expected | 60 FPS possible, per GameGPU estimate |
Is this real? Unconfirmed, only a claim so far
Who said it: GameGPU, a technical estimate. Sources: 1 (GameGPU). Our view: an opinion piece based on expected hardware. Rockstar has not announced 60 FPS on any console, and Sony has not announced the PS6. Checked: 31 Oct 2026.
What is actually confirmed
Rockstar has not confirmed 60 FPS on any console, see our PS5 and PS5 Pro features page. A PC version is not announced either, see GTA 6 PC. Treat any PS6 claim as speculation.
