GTA 6 Brings RP Life to Single-Player

Short answer: Yes. Rockstar told Edge magazine that GTA 6’s story mode is built so you can live a normal life between missions, like on GTA RP servers: buy snacks and beer, ride buses and trains on schedules, fill up fuel, and use coffee or protein shakes for buffs.

What did Rockstar say about roleplay in GTA 6?

Official In Edge’s November 2026 issue, Rockstar North co-studio head Aaron Garbut said players can treat the campaign like a roleplay: buy cigarettes and beer at a shop, ride the train for the day or visit a nightclub. Rockstar wants players to feel they can live their own lives in Leonida.

In a 90-minute hands-off demo on PS5, Rob Nelson showed Jason drinking coffee to boost stamina and a protein shake to buff health, then lighting a cigarette from his inventory.
