EGW.News reported on 1 Nov 2026 that data from prediction site Polymarket shows a 57% chance that GTA 6 gets a 97+ Metacritic score, the same as GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Another 23% say it will get 98 or higher.

Not everyone agrees
Insider Gaming has been more careful and predicted a score of only 83 to 87. If the higher predictions are right, GTA 6 would easily become the top-rated game of 2026 on Metacritic, where the best scores right now are 93.
When do real GTA 6 reviews come out?
Journalists got their review copies last week (see our story), and the review embargo lifts one day before launch. GTA 6 launches on 19 November 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
