GTA 6 buildings match a small Georgia town

Short answer: Fans say a red-brick bar and “Trotsman’s Supermarket” in one of Edge magazine’s new GTA 6 screenshots look like real buildings in Gay, Georgia, about 930 km from Miami. Rockstar has not confirmed it used them as references.

What fans found

Fans compared one of the 12 new screenshots from Edge magazine with real places and found two close matches in Gay, Georgia, a town of about 110 people in Meriwether County.

  • A red-brick bar: almost identical to a real building, down to where the doors and windows are. The main differences are the trim colour and an extra building next to it in the game.
  • “Trotsman’s Supermarket”: the upper front and its decorations look very similar, but the entrance is in a different place.

Is this real? Unconfirmed, only a claim so far

Who said it: Reddit user u/gtawiki, reported by Notebookcheck. Sources: Notebookcheck, Reddit comparison images. Our view: a fun find, but it only shows Rockstar may borrow real architecture from outside Florida. It does not mean GTA 6’s map includes Georgia. Checked: 30 Oct 2026.

Does GTA 6 go into Georgia?

Probably not in the way the headline suggests. Rockstar has only shown Leonida, its fictional version of Florida. Using a building from another state as a model is common for Rockstar, and some fans on Reddit think that is all this is.
