Is Tommy Vercetti in GTA 6? What the Vercetti references mean
Short answer: Very unlikely as a character. Rockstar has not announced Tommy, the hero of 2002’s GTA Vice City. But GTA 6 does reference him officially: the Ultimate Edition revolvers are “sourced from the Vercetti Estate“, and the pre-order weapon pattern copies Tommy’s palm-tree shirt. GTA 6 is in Rockstar’s newer “HD” universe, Tommy’s voice actor Ray Liotta died in 2022, and Tommy would be in his 70s, so a return is unlikely.

Why Tommy probably won’t appear
- Different universe: GTA Vice City is in the older “3D universe”; GTA 6 is in the “HD universe” with GTA 4 and GTA 5.
- Ray Liotta, Tommy’s voice, passed away in 2022.
- Age: Tommy arrived in Vice City in 1986, so he would be around 75 today.
The Vercetti Estate mention suggests the name lives on in GTA 6 as part of Vice City’s history, not that Tommy shows up.
