Rockstar staff vote on a union during the GTA 6 launch

Short answer: Rockstar Games employees in the UK will vote on recognising the IWGB Rockstar Game Workers Union from 12 to 26 November 2026, the same weeks as GTA 6 pre-load and launch. The game’s release date of 19 November does not change.

Background

In 2025 Rockstar dismissed more than 30 staff, which the IWGB and the former employees call union busting. An employment tribunal over those dismissals is still running, with closing arguments set for 17 and 18 November 2026. A judge’s decision is expected later. Reported
