GTA 6 Weather: Storms That Matter
Short answer: GTA 6 weather is far more detailed than GTA 5. Rockstar’s Aaron Garbut told Edge that storms move across the map, wind shapes trees, clouds and waves, pedestrians run for shelter, and storms can affect sailing and damage aircraft.

Official “This game is much more granular,” Garbut told Edge, comparing it to GTA 5, where it was just rainy or sunny. You can be in sun while a storm builds in the distance, and the area changes as it reaches you.
