GTA 6 radio works outside the car with headphones

Short answer: Yes. In GTA 6 you can keep listening to every radio station and podcast after you leave a car. Jason and Lucia plug headphones into their phone, and the music keeps playing while you walk, run and even fight. It fixes one of the oldest GTA fan complaints.

What is new

In every GTA game so far, the music stopped the moment you opened the car door. GTA 5 players asked for years to keep the radio on while walking. Rockstar has now confirmed that in GTA 6 you can listen to all radio stations in Leonida and podcasts on foot, using headphones plugged into your in-game phone.
