Cal Hampton actor? Bobby Moynihan on SNL
Short answer: Fans think Bobby Moynihan voices Cal Hampton in GTA 6 after he acted out a moment on Saturday Night Live that looks a lot like a scene from a GTA 6 trailer. Rockstar has not named any cast, so this is still only a fan claim.

What happened
On 1 Nov 2026, EGW.News reported that fans believe they have found the actor behind Cal Hampton, Jason’s conspiracy-minded friend in GTA 6. The name going around is Bobby Moynihan, the former Saturday Night Live cast member.
The rumor got a boost after the 31 Oct SNL episode, where Moynihan played a funny moment that fans say mirrors a scene from a GTA 6 trailer. Social media users also point to how similar his voice sounds to Cal’s, and say there is a small look-alike too.
Bobby Moynihan, rumored to play Cal Hampton in GTA 6, recreated a very similar moment from the game during Saturday Night Live.

Is this real? Unconfirmed, only a claim so far
Who said it: Fans on X, reported by EGW.News. Sources: EGW.News, an X post by @GTASixInfo. Our view: This is a fan theory based on a voice match and an SNL sketch. Rockstar and the actor have not confirmed anything. Checked: 1 Nov 2026.
Why fans think it is him
- The voice: fans say Cal’s lines in the trailers sound a lot like Moynihan.
- The SNL bit: the sketch moment looks close to a trailer scene, which fans read as a wink.
- Old rumor: his name has been linked to Cal for a long time in fan cast lists.
None of this is proof. Actors in Rockstar games sign strict NDAs, so nobody is expected to confirm a role before launch. See our GTA 6 voice actors page for every name that is confirmed or rumored.
Other cast rumors this week
EGW also notes that Rob Brinkmann, long rumored as Jason, denied the role last week (our story), and that Manni L. Perez, believed to play Lucia, kept quiet during an Instagram live stream. GTA 6 launches on 19 Nov 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the end credits should settle all of this.
