GTA 5 stars to GTA 6 actors: “Fans can smell fake appreciation”

What the GTA 5 cast said

Two of the three GTA 5 leads have shared advice for the stars of GTA 6. Speaking to All Out Gaming at MCM Comic Con, Shawn Fonteno, who plays Franklin, said the new actors should “just listen to what Rockstar say”, because the studio will guide them well.

Ned Luke, the voice and face of Michael, said the most important thing is to have fun and appreciate the fans. His warning: fake appreciation gets noticed. In his words, fans “can smell it.”

Why this matters for Jason and Lucia

GTA 5 turned its three leads into stars. Over ten years later, Fonteno, Luke and Steven Ogg (Trevor) still do conventions, streams and fan events. The actors behind Lucia and Jason are about to get the same kind of fame, almost overnight, when GTA 6 launches.

Rockstar has not officially named the GTA 6 actors yet. Some names are rumored online, but nothing is confirmed.
