Ex-Rockstar Director: AI Clones Could Speed Up GTA 6 on PC
Short answer: Obbe Vermeij, a former Rockstar technical director, told Rock Paper Shotgun that Rockstar could release GTA 6 on PC sooner to get ahead of AI-made unofficial ports. This is his opinion; Rockstar has not announced a PC version.

Obbe Vermeij, who left Rockstar in 2009, said in an interview with Rock Paper Shotgun (reported by GamesRadar+ and Dexerto) that he would be concerned if he were Rockstar that someone could take the PS5 version and use AI to turn it into a PC version. He thinks an AI port would not match Rockstar’s own work but could still hurt sales, and that it would cost “tens of thousands of dollars in tokens”.
He says he would not be surprised by an effort to bring the PC and console releases closer together, but adds that he does not know Rockstar’s plans.
