The city then and now
Both are based on Miami. Vice City in 2002 was two islands and a party strip. GTA 6’s Vice City is part of Leonida, with swamps, Keys-style islands and other towns. See GTA 6 Vice City and real Miami locations.
Why it matters
Vice City is one of the most loved GTA games, so returning there raised expectations. GTA 6 keeps the neon and beaches but adds a modern, satirical take on Florida life.
