GTA 6 vs Forza Horizon 6 vs Mafia: Which Open World?

Short answer: They are three very different games. GTA 6 is a full open-world crime sandbox across a whole US state. Forza Horizon 6 is an open-world racing game set in Japan, with the biggest Horizon map yet but no on-foot crime. Mafia: The Old Country is a story-first, mostly linear game set in 1900s Sicily. For the biggest open world, pick GTA 6; for driving, Forza; for a short, cheaper crime story, Mafia.

Which one has the best open world?

GTA 6 is the only one where you can do almost anything on foot: rob shops, scuba dive, take a ride-share, and deal with a police force that remembers your face. How big the GTA 6 map is.

Forza Horizon 6 scored 92 on Metacritic and its art director calls Japan “our biggest map yet”, but everything happens from behind the wheel.

Mafia: The Old Country: Hangar 13 said itself that it is not an open world like GTA. It is a guided story, closer to a film.
