How to buy GTA 6 where there is no local PlayStation or Xbox store Pakistan, Nigeria, Bangladesh and more

Short answer: In countries like Pakistan, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Vietnam and Kenya there is no local PlayStation or Xbox store. Many players use an account from another region and top it up with gift cards. Know the trade-offs first: Sony’s terms say your account country should be where you live, a wallet only accepts gift cards from the account’s own country, and codes from unofficial sellers can get accounts banned.

What the official rules say

PlayStation: you “must select the country or region of your residence” when you create an account, and it can’t be changed later. Official
PlayStation wallet: it only accepts prepaid cards in the currency of the account’s country. Official
Xbox: you can change region only once every three months, your Microsoft account balance doesn’t move with you, and Microsoft recommends it only if you are moving long-term. Official

Buying gift cards safely

Buy from well-known, authorised sellers. In September 2026 Xbox suspended accounts that had redeemed fraudulent codes bought from unauthorised resellers. Reported
Expect to pay a markup. In Pakistan, a US$50 PSN card sold for about Rs 14,200 to Rs 17,500 in October 2026, against a face value of about Rs 14,000. Reported
Never give your account password to a seller who offers to “buy the game for you”.

Bank card limits

Pakistan: the State Bank of Pakistan sets a US$30,000 yearly limit for card spending abroad, and banks add their own fees. Official
Nigeria: many banks paused international naira card use for years and have only recently restored limits, which vary by bank. Reported
