GTA 6 limited-edition PS5 controllers: price, designs and where to buy

The key facts

The two designs

Black Limited Edition is themed on Vice City at night: dark body, neon tones. White Limited Edition is themed on the daytime: beaches, sand and pastel skies.

Both have a colour-shifting iridescent finish, palm trees moulded into the grips and the Roman numeral VI on the touchpad. Inside, they are standard DualSense controllers with the same haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. They give no in-game advantage.

Where to buy, and why the Black one is harder to find

Because the Black edition is sold only through PlayStation Direct, it sells out faster. Both editions have gone in and out of stock since pre-orders opened. If one shop is sold out, check the others before paying a reseller.

Is it worth $84.99?

A standard DualSense costs $69.99, so you pay about $15 extra for the GTA 6 design. It makes sense if you want a collectible or need a second controller anyway. If you only care about playing, a standard controller works exactly the same.

Be careful with listings on eBay and marketplaces before 19 November. Pre-order prices there are often far above $84.99, and nothing ships early.
